When I came across this easy MIY printed roman shade on Better Homes and Gardens, I instantly fell in love with it! How crafty an idea to spruce up the kitchen or any window that could use a word in edge wise..hehe.
How to get started: Cut lengths of striped fabric twice as wide as the desired trim width ( 8 inches is shown), press in half the long way, then press the raw edges under 1/8 inch. Use fabric glue to press edges to the shade, one to the front and one to the back, overlapping slightly.
Where to find font and print: Pring letters one per page in your favorite font. For the silverware or any image desired, check the internet or clip are and enlarge it. Put the pattern under the shade and trace in pencil, then outline with the black fabric marker and shade as needed. Hang shade and tack the trip to the window.
*image note: for a perfectly centered and spaced word, start with the center letter and then add the next one to the right then to the left and so on.
I can 't wait to try!!
