Make It Yourself Monday - A Greener Table

Today's MIYM is for the entertainer in us, who are sick of the same old table centerpiece of florals and candles. I don't know about you, but I'm always looking for a 'greener' idea that's eye appealing and useful for the occasion. This centerpiece can be used as both of these but also doubles as a beautiful garden fresh look and food display for the guest.

This particular creative beauty is from Leana Gallagher of Amelia Occasions. She took fresh baguettes, ficelle, grissini, topped with sea salt, pepper and rosemary, and placed them in a basket decoratively.  Then she surrounded them with white bean dip, pesto and some fresh herbs.  This idea would also work well with olive oils, different vinegars, the baguettes and fresh potted herbs. A sun dried tomato tapenade could be added for a little splash of color but be creative and pair these sides to compliment your main dish!
