In all my internet perusing since the first of December, I've noticed advent calendars are back full force! Maybe this has been on-going since childhood and I just got clued in that most continue the tradition as adults...not sure.
I can remember as a child, looking forward to receiving my book-like calendar with Santa pasted across the front and little punched out doors where Santa's helpers would reveal a lovely piece of chocolate when each day drew closer to Christmas.
As of late, I've noticed many different types of calendars. All unique, recycled, DIY and of course filled with some type of holiday cheer ... everything that I am about and love!
But of course there is always one that impresses me beyond the rest! What a clever idea, don't you think!?!

Maybe it's just because I'm a lover of books but ONE EVERY DAY until Christmas!! Oh my...I'm in love with this thought!! Just some simple recycled paper to wrap with and 24 diy tags and presto, a calendar! Babyccino, where the idea originated, did a Calendar for her children with Christmas themed books from the US and Germany for familiarizing them with their family heritage...GENIUS!
This could also be a fun project for you and your honey, I know I will be doing this next year! I imagine giving even dates to him and odd dates to myself while finding short stories, magazines, photos, any type of sweet nothings to share.
